Who we are
Bad Wrap is a trading name of HJX Group Ltd, registered in England and Wales, company number 17409472, with its registered office at 128 City Road, London EC1V 2NX. What we collect and why
Newsletter signups. When you subscribe, we collect your email address and use it to send you occasional emails about new designs and seasonal drops. The lawful basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email or by emailing us.
Product ideas. When you send us an idea, we collect your name, email address, and whatever you write in the message. We use it to consider the idea and to reply to you. The lawful basis is our legitimate interest in developing products and responding to people who contact us.
Analytics, only if you accept. With your consent, we use Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to understand how the site is used: pages visited, which product cards are seen and clicked, approximate location derived from your IP address, and device and browser information. Clarity also records how pages are used within a visit, including mouse movement and scrolling, with typed input masked. The lawful basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time. We never enable advertising storage or ad personalisation, whatever you choose.
What we do not do here. This site takes no payments and holds no accounts. We do not ask for your address, card details, or date of birth.
When you buy from us
Every product link on this site goes to our shop on Etsy, and all purchases happen there. When you follow one of those links you leave this website and Etsy's own terms and privacy policy apply to what happens next. Etsy is an independent data controller for your order, payment, and delivery details; we receive only what Etsy passes to us as the seller so that we can fulfil your order. Read Etsy's privacy policy for how they handle your data.
Our links to Etsy carry tracking parameters so we can tell which pages and products sent someone to the shop, and so that eligible orders qualify for Etsy's Share & Save scheme. These parameters identify the page, not you.
How long we keep it
We keep newsletter subscriptions until you unsubscribe, and idea submissions for as long as needed to consider the idea and reply, then delete them. Analytics data is retained by Google and Microsoft for the limited periods set in our accounts and their published policies, after which it is deleted or aggregated.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us for access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data; ask us to restrict or object to how we use it; ask for a copy in a portable format; and withdraw consent to analytics or marketing emails at any time without affecting anything else. Email hamish@jefford.me and we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Children
This site is not intended for children. Our products use strong language and adult humour, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal data, we will update this page and the date at the top. Significant changes to analytics will reset the consent banner so you can choose again.
