Secret Santa for people who hate tasteful

Secret Santa has a budget, a deadline and an audience. The gift itself will be forgotten by January. The wrapping paper and the card are what get photographed. Spend accordingly.

The budget problem, solved

Most Secret Santa limits sit between five and fifteen pounds, which buys a mug or a bottle of something. The trick is to let the wrap carry the joke, so the present inside can be as boring as it likes. A box of biscuits in Santa’s Sack paper is a better gift than a scented candle in tissue.

Pick your target

Rude wrap is visible to the whole room, so choose the design for the audience, not just the person opening it. A work do with the finance team watching wants I Identify as a Reindeer. A mates’ Christmas in someone’s kitchen can take Passion of the Santa.

Wrap it badly

Eight Christmas designs, sold in several sizes. Prices start from the figure shown and the sheet sizes are on each Etsy listing.

Let the card do the talking

If the gift is anonymous, the card is where you get to be recognised. These are blank inside, so sign it or do not, depending on how brave you feel.

The one rule

Do not give a rude card to someone who has not earned it. If you would not say the words on the front to their face on a normal Tuesday, they are the wrong recipient, and HR will agree with them. Buy for the colleague who already sends you the worst memes.
